David and Anne Cheek of Irvington recently returned from Moline, Ill., where they delivered the original Kilmarnock Motor Sales antique dealership sign to the John Deere Archives Museum.
The antique dealership sign was from the late 1940s and it hung on Main Street in Kilmarnock for decades, reported D. Cheek. The metal and neon signage is 7-feet by 3 1/2-feet. For years, it hung outside the KMS building, the current site of Noblett Appliance & Propane Inc., 17 South Main Street, Kilmarnock.
