For the second year in a row, the Christchurch School sailing team has won the Atlantic Coast Championship.
Twenty of the top sailing teams, representing five of the seven districts from across the country recently met at the Merchant Maritime Academy in Kings Point, N.Y., for two days of racing.
Annapolis High School from Annapolis, Md., and Falmouth High School from Falmouth, Maine, rounded out the top three, reported Jennifer Homer.
Christchurch took an early lead in the regatta going 4,8,2,2 in the first set of A/B races, which was ailed in very choppy conditions with temperatures dipping into the 20’s.
