KILMARNOCK—On December 3, Trinity Episcopal Church, 8484 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster, invites the public to its 11th annual “Unsung Hero Award” presentation. This year’s recipient is Carroll Lee Ashburn of Kilmarnock.
Trinity, the “Little Church with the Big Heart,” gives this award to a person who embodies the giving spirit of Christmas giving every day of the year.
A tireless volunteer with a dedication to sports and civic boosterism alike, Ashburn is known as “always having something cooking”—and yet never asking for anything in return.
