In January, hundreds of band students from District XV, which extends from the Northern Neck up through North Stafford, auditioned to be a part of the All-District Middle School Honor Bands.
Two Lancaster Middle School students were selected to be a part of the bands, reported LMS band director Kenny Flester.
Ainsley Mumford participated in the concert band and Olivia Saunders participated in the symphonic band. Both students are in the eighth grade and play clarinet, said Flester.
