The Diocese of Arlington recently announced its Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl Program grants for 2019. The goals of this grant program are to help fund activities within the Diocese to combat hunger and food insecurity by helping low-income individuals and families.
For the ninth year in a row, $1,000 from the Rice Bowl Grant has been awarded to the White Stone Baptist Food Pantry, reported co-director Sue Slate Donaldson. All the awarded money is spent for the purchase of food for qualifying neighbors in White Stone, Irvington and Weems.
