HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, April 2, with Judge R. Michael McKenney presiding.

The prosecution filed a nolle prosequi in the case of Montai J. Smith of Lancaster, charged with two felonies for manufacturing controlled substances.

Bond was denied in the case of Robert J. Ball of Kinsale, charged with a felony for the manufacture of a controlled substance. Ball’s trial is set for June 25.

Bond was granted in the case of Isac O. Lewis of Hague, charged with two felonies for manufacturing controlled substances. Lewis’s trial is set for June 25.

A status hearing in the case of Alicia S. Darby of Warsaw, charged with three felonies including one count for manufacturing a controlled substance, one count for violating her probation, and one count for failing to appear in court on a felony offense, was continued to April 23.

The trial of James E. Crawley of Montross, charged with two felony counts for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to June 25.

Bond was revoked in the case of Darren P. Frye of Reedville, charged with three misdemeanors including one count of assault and two counts revoking his pretrial release on a misdemeanor offense. Frye’s trial is set for April 30.
