Clear skies and a great vibe ruled the 10th annual Kekoka Yoga Retreat (KYR) May 17-19 at YMCA/APYC Camp Kekoka in Kilmarnock. The theme was “Drop and Give Me Zen,” and the event raised $16,000 for camper scholarships.
Almost 100 yogis attended the retreat. The range in participants’ experience level was wide, from people brand new to yoga to yoga instructors and other seasoned practitioners, said chairman Susan Johnson.
Classes and activities included yoga for all levels, meditation, tai chi, sound immersion and breath and nutrition workshops, said Johnson. A sunset yoga class conducted on stand-up paddleboards on Indian Creek took place under a rising full moon.
