Victoria Bing went 3-for-4 with a home run for four RBIs to lead Mathews in an 8-1 win over Lancaster last Wednesday in a Region A softball tournament game.
Mathews advanced to the quarterfinals on Friday where they lost, 9-0, to Rappahannock. The Raiderettes will play Windsor in one semifinal game while Northumberland will host Northampton in the other. The Lady Indians won their quarterfinal game, 14-0, over Essex to advance. The semifinal winners will meet tonight, May 30, in the regional final.
The host Lady Blue Devils eliminated Lancaster from the postseason play and ended the Lady Red Devils season…
