YMCA’s learn-to-swim builds confidence in the water and in the classroom

When evaluating an educational program, the primary focus is on the participating children. While evaluating the testing data offers great insights into the efficacy for any program, it is important to gain a teacher’s perspective on how the program affects students.

In this case, how the Northern Neck Family YMCA’s second grade learn-to-swim program impacted the children of Lancaster County Public Schools and Chesapeake Academy in the swimming pool as well as in the classroom.
