IRVINGTON—George K. McNeal, 77, of Irvington passed away on August 22, 2019. He was the son of the late Philip and Etta McNeal and a member of Irvington Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Shirley W. McNeal; daughters, Michele M. Haynie (Richard), Amy M. Grubbs (Leroy) and Heidi McNeal (Ron); stepsons, Todd Rice (Laurie) and Craig Rice; 10 grandchildren, Trey Haynie (Bekki), Ryan Haynie, Tanner Grubbs, Dylan Lambert, Mathew McNeal, Bailey McNeal, Travis Rice, Jason Rice (Tesia), Adam Rice and Joanna Rice; 2 great grandchildren, Abigail Rice and Emma Mae Rice; three sisters, Frances Boswell, JoAnn Morris and Debbie Stosch; and brother, Dennis McNeal.
George was a loving husband, father and Pop Pop. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25, at Irvington Baptist Church. Interment followed the service in the church cemetery. Family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 24, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
