LANCASTER—Mamie Parks Cooke, 92, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on October 13, 2019. She was born on October 7, 1927. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Allen Boyd Cooke (Charlotte) and Robert W. Cooke (Dorothy); eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a sister, Edna Revere.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd F. Cooke Jr; her son, Joseph F. Cooke; and her great-grandson, William Hunter Cooke.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 17, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman. Interment will follow the service at Corrottoman Baptist Cemetery.
Family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
