Filing deadline is March 3 for town elections

LANCASTER—Although the May 5 elections in Lancaster County’s incorporated towns is three months away, the filing deadline for candidates is less than one month away, and at least two candidates have already filed to be on the ballot.

In Irvington, town council member R. Wayne Nunnally has filed for mayor and council member Frances Westbrook has filed for another term on council, according to Lancaster County voter registrar Susan R. Jett.

Irvington Mayor Ralph “Rannie” Ransone announced in October that he would not seek reelection.
