Members of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Kilmarnock on December 3 began setting up scenery and props for Journey to Bethlehem: A Celebration of Christmas.
The drive-through nativity event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 10, at St. Andrews, 435 East Church Street, Kilmarnock.
Eight churches are participating in the event, which will include six tableaux depicting the story of Jesus’ birth and one portraying “Jesus in Our World,” reported associate pastor Judy Thomson. There will be live animals, instrumental music and carolers.
The public is asked to bring donations of canned food for the Northern Neck Food Bank, which will be collected at the final scene, she said.
