Bon Secours Mercy Health temporarily furloughs some employees, none local

Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) recently announced the temporary furlough of “associates who are unable to work due to temporary closure, cancellation and low census in primary care, outpatient and surgical services.”

BSMH public relations and communications specialist Jenna Green said the furloughs affected 700 employees or about “20% of the shared services personnel.” This announcement did not affect any Bon Secours employees at Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital or the six primary care practices in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.
