When Dan Russell, Lancaster County Public Schools superintendent, recently announced the official end of the school year, he also promised the district will “continue to provide learning opportunities through packets and online resources,” encourage “continuity of learning” and “reinforce skills previously taught.”

This week Russell announced teachers are preparing additional learning materials along with “opportunities through virtual classrooms for students K though 12 to utilize throughout the spring and summer.” The district has plans…
