WHITE STONE—Malcolma Renee’ Thomas “Cookie” Brown died April 17, 2020.
She was born to Robert Frazier Thomas and Doretha Copeland Thomas on August 11, 1954, in Baltimore, Md.
She was educated in Baltimore public schools and graduated from Douglas High School in 1972.
In 1987, she and her husband, William Edward Brown Jr. moved their family to White Stone to make their home. “Cookie” joined the work staff at the Tides Inn and later at Tri-Star Supermarket. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Weems.
She is survived by her husband, William Brown Jr; her daughters, Tanya Brown and Tumeka Watkins and son-in-law, Dameon Watkins; grandson, Devante Brown; stepson, Shawn Jones; sister, Betty Thomas; brothers, Samuel Thomas, Michael Thomas, Larry Thomas, Richard Thomas, Donald Thomas and Kevin Thomas.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
