Mini-me avatars have become substitutes for teachers. Computer-generated replicas of classrooms have replaced brick and mortar. Educators are forced in this COVID-19 world to get creative in offering virtual over hands-on learning.
Teachers who normally spend a week or more decorating and personalizing their classrooms are now doing that with their online Bitmoji classrooms, which are colorful, virtual environments.
“Teachers from all over the world are sharing their Bitmoji classrooms on Facebook,” said Shauna McCranie. “Teachers are really the most generous group of people. They share everything.”
McCranie is the coordinator for gifted services in Northumberland County. She’s one of the many teachers in Lancaster and Northumberland school systems using a Bitmoji classroom to help engage students……
