Thanks to an interfaith partnership, the Grace Church Yard Sale has been operating out of a warehouse behind the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 401 South Main Street, Kilmarnock three days/week since August 2020.
“The new format has been working well and business in support of the community is growing as word spreads that we’re now year-round,” reported yard sale coordinator Lucia Schoelwer.
“As with the previous one-day event, all net proceeds are returned to the community via grants to non-profits, with grant applications now both in May and in November,” said Schoelwer.
To mark the beginning of spring this weekend, the yard sale from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 21, will feature a sale on outdoor and dining room furniture and “all things Easter.”
