Northumberland High School CTE program to receive new appliances

CLARAVILLE—Addressing the Northumberland County School Board on Tuesday, July 6, career and technical education coordinator Jay Lightfoot announced that Lucky Goldstar (LG) will make a generous donation to Northumberland High School’s CTE program.

LG will donate two dishwashers, two ranges, two refrigerators, two microwaves, a washing machine, a dryer and two robot vacuums to the program, said Lightfoot. The appliances will serve as an update to the existing student-kitchen as well as additions to special education classrooms.

“This is a great opportunity to expose our students to evolving technologies and open new and dynamic career fields for consideration,” Lightfoot said.

Also during the school board meeting, superintendent Holly Wargo introduced Jason Bellows as the new director of finance. According to Wargo, Bellows will be training under….
