CLARAVILLE—As the new year is now in full swing, Northumberland public school students will have more opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and robotics programs in 2022.
Head of STEM enrichment and science teacher Gary Dickens spoke to the board on Monday, January 10, about several initiatives the schools are taking to further student interest and involvement in STEM and robotics.
According to Dickens, “STEM Saturdays” have been scheduled for January 29 and some time in May, and will be targeted towards students in grades four through seven.
Additionally, Northumberland students are set to compete in the regional Physics Olympics later this year, Dickens said.
