KING GEORGE—Shawn Melissa Fortune-Garnett of King George died Friday, March 25, 2022.
She was born April 20, 1977, to Cassie and William Fortune. After her mother passed away, she lived with her grandparents, Marion Jospeh and Mary Brooks.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in King George and later Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Royal.
She was predeceased by her mother, Cassie Brooks; her son, Coleman; and her grandfather, Marion Joseph Brooks.
She is survived by her husband, Jacoby Garnett; her children, Briana, Jacoby, Jamal, Jarrod and Javonte; her stepson, David; grandchildren, Camille, Camden and Caden; her father, William Fortune; her grandmother, Mary Brooks; and her sister, Wands Davis.
A service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Port Royal.
