As the 2021 Virginia High School League (VHSL) Class 1 state champion, the Lancaster High School golf team earned an invite to a national tournament at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.
The Red Devils team spent three days playing the world renowned course, July 11-13, with high school golfers from across the country.
“This was about the experience,” said LHS coach Rob Pittman. “That’s what we agreed going in. A lot of players haven’t experienced golf on courses like that. It was pretty incredible.”
