LHS volleyball teams focus on the basics

As a state quarterfinalist in 2021-22, the Lancaster High School varsity volleyball team had its best season in 14 years. Unfortunately, coach Allie Hoffman lost all six starters.

“We had such a good year last year, we came out strong and made it farther than a lot of people thought we would,” said Hoffman. “But losing my six starters will change the dynamic of the team.”

Hoffman only returns three including seniors Mary Logan Hill and Chrissy Bowers and junior Belle Bean. Hill and Bean are back to set and serve as liberos, while Bowers will be an outside hitter.

The team includes two other seniors and newcomers….
