Devils avenge early season loss to Eagles

Lancaster High School (LHS) improved to 8-9 overall and 3-3 in the district last week after picking up a 3-1 win over Westmoreland in varsity volleyball.

The Lady Devils had lost, 2-3, to the Eagles in the two teams’ first meeting of the season at LHS in September.

Lancaster picked up the first two sets, 25-14, 25-20, last Thursday in Montross before losing the third game, 11-25. The Devils took the match with a 25-23 win in the fourth game of the best of five series.

Emily Carlson, Jocelyn Hasson and Mary Logan Hill had three unreturned serves each to lead the setters. Jenaya Cox put over two aces.
