Primis Bank customers in Lancaster County will soon need to go to branches in nearby counties or use the bank’s mobile banking system.
The Henrico-based bank has announced it will close eight of its 32 branches in Virginia by the end of October. The Kilmarnock branch, 437 North Main Street, is among those slated to close and has notified customers either by mail or by signage at the bank. It will close on October 27.
The Tappahannock branch, 307 Church Lane, and the Gloucester Point branch, 1653 George Washington Memorial Highway, also will close. Heathsville, Burgess, Hartfield and Urbanna branches, as well as the Gloucester branch at 7132 George Washington Memorial Highway and the Tappahannock branch in the Essex Square Shopping Center, will remain open.
