IRVINGTON—Councilman Phil Robinson on Thursday, November 9, introduced the potential of relocating the town office to The Steamboat Era Museum on King Carter Drive.
With the lease of the current office set to expire in 2025, Robinson said the committee responsible for finding a solution for new space has been in active conversation with the museum.
According to Robinson, there is no concrete plan as of yet, however, the process of drafting a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the museum is underway.
Robinson said the decision to relocate to the museum is not final, and there is still time for other properties to come up that could accommodate an office, if it fits the needs and budget of the town.
As of now, the town will probably be in a position to pay an architect for design work for adding onto the museum….
