The Northern Neck Orchestra will present a holiday concert of Christmas carols, popular tunes and classical favorites on December 16 at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, in Kilmarnock. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk by music director Michael Repper at 6:45 p.m.
Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org, or at the door. Students will be admitted free.
The orchestra will host a holiday food drive at the concert on behalf of the Healthy Harvest Food Pantry. Attendees are encouraged to bring food donations of non-perishable canned goods and packaged foods (no glass containers).
The concert will feature a musical arrangement of “Twas The Night Before Christmas” narrated by Rev. Dr. Tyron Williams, senior pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Wicomico Church.
