The Northern Neck Orchestra will celebrate one of the oldest and most enduring of all holiday songs Saturday, December 16, performing composer Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Greensleeves” along with Christmas carols, classical favorites and popular tunes.
The festive concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. Music director Michael Repper will present a pre-concert talk at 6:45 p.m.
Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free.
The orchestra will host a holiday food drive at the concert on behalf of the Healthy Harvest Food Pantry. Bring food donations of non-perishable canned goods and packaged foods (no glass containers) to the lobby.
