FORT GREGG-ADAMS—On December 14, then Brigadier General Michelle Kenna Donahue became commanding general of Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee), the U.S. Army’s Combined Support Command and Sustainment Center in Prince George County. She has since been promoted to major general.
She is the daughter of retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Michael J. Kenna and Gail Wilson Kenna of Wicomico Church.
Years earlier, Maj. Gen. Donahue was the 56th quartermaster general at Fort Lee before the Fort’s redesignation on April 27. The new name, Gregg-Adams, honors the military achievements of two noteworthy Army officers, one living, and the deceased World War II Lieutenant Colonel Charity Adams, reported Gail Wilson Kenna.
