HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, June 4, with the Hon. Steven S. Smith presiding.
In the case of Winfield A. Bea of Heathsville, charged with an indecent act with a child while acting as their custodian, a trial was continued to June 25.
In the case of William K. Downing of Reedville, charged with four counts of distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs and four counts of failure to appear on a felony offense, a status hearing was continued to June 25.
In the case of Robert P. McKenney of Hague, charged with issuing two or more bad checks for more than $500 within a 90-day period, a trial was set for September 3.
In the case of Page R. Stoner of Farnham, charged with possession/transportation of a firearm as a violent felon, a status hearing was continued to June 25. Stoner also faces misdemeanor charges of reckless handling of a firearm, pointing/brandishing a firearm and assault and battery.
In the case of Rishon M. Winkler of Baltimore, Md., charged with second degree murder, a hearing was set for June 18.
In the case of Ernest E. Adams of Reedville, charged with two counts of distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs, a status hearing was set for June 11 and a trial was set for August 20.
