Chesapeake Academy graduates Class of 2024

Chesapeake Academy held commencement exercises for the Class of 2024 and their families on Tuesday, June 4, near the shade of the school’s magnificent historic oak. After an invocation by 2023-24 student council president Ryann Kenner, head of school Trip Cogburn warmly welcomed the school community.

Following the presentation of awards, academic dean Kenzie Manetz joined Cogburn for the final roll call and presentation of diplomas.

The following students, after successfully completing the requirements of the Chesapeake Academy curriculum, officially matriculated to become Osprey alumni:

• Skyler Ayden Casey, the daughter of Heather Casey and Chip Husband and Shane Casey and Kellie Brekke.

• Isabell Marie Dew, the daughter of former Osprey Katie and David Dew, diploma presented by her mother and brother, Leyton Dew, a member of the Class of 2020.

• Alexander John Fulmer, the son of Alissa and David Fulmer, diploma presented by his brother, Andrew Fulmer, a member of the Class of 2019.

• Shaun Singh Gill, the son of Rupanjeet Gill, diploma presented by his brother, Herman Gill, a member of the Class of 2021.

• Evan Pearson Hinton, the son of former Osprey Robert and Jennifer Hinton, diploma presented by his father, Robb Hinton, a former Osprey.

• Ryann Leslie Kenner, the daughter of Gentry Kenner and Jason Kenner.

• Jacob Ryan Lewis, the son of alumna Ashleigh Lewis, who presented the diploma along with his brother, Jimmy Lewis, a member of the Class of 2023.

• Finley Rose Major, the daughter of Maggie and Arthur Major.

• Baylen Allen Miller, the son of Jennifer and Bryan Miller.

• Khloe Jayde Ridgell, the daughter of Kelly Ridgell.

• Eli Vaughan Stewart, the son of former Osprey Brooks Stewart and Roger Stewart, diploma presented by his mother.

Cogburn addressed each of the matriculating students individually….
