BURGESS—Christal Lynne Beatley, 60, of Burgess passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024.
She was born on March 11, 1964, to Dr. Robert Eugene Beatley Sr. and Vernonia Tackett Beatley, and was a graduate of York Academy.
Christal worked as a medical assistant for over 30 years with her parents at Burgess Medical Center, and was an avid animal lover. She held many certifications in dog training and spent most of her free time loving and helping animals. This cause was very near and dear to her heart.
Christal is survived by her mother, Vera; her son, Robert Jordon Beatley; extended family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, and also by her brother, Robert Eugene “Robb” Beatley Jr.
A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, at New Friendship Baptist Church in Heathsville.
The family suggests donations to New Friendship Baptist Church for any who may like to donate in her memory.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
