Christchurch School will host the annual Jason Soucek Memorial Soccer Tournament September 6 and 7. The tournament is held annually in memory of 1992 Christchurch graduate and Middlesex County resident Jason Carpenter Soucek, the son of Archie, Class of 1961, and Claudia Soucek of Saluda.
Jason Soucek died in 1996 while a student at Roanoke College. At Christchurch, Jason was a standout soccer, basketball and lacrosse player, earning “Best All-Around Athlete” honors in 1992.
Tournament play will take place on Nunn Field at Christchurch School, 49 Seahorse Lane, Christchurch. Teams competing are Christchurch, St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School of Alexandria, Steward School of Richmond and St. Mary’s Ryken of Leonardtown, Md.
