Northumberland County Lions Club invites others to help make a difference

The Northumberland County Lions Club is seeking service-minded men and women to join them in making a difference in the community. Around the world, Lions are serving their neighborhoods and beyond while focusing on five global causes including vision, hunger, the environment, childhood cancer and diabetes.

“Our club inspires members to advance worthy causes, serve with friends and become leaders in the community. This club means a lot to our Lions, but it means so much more to the people we serve,” said vice district governor Shelia Chewning.

The club will host a Community Picnic and information session at 4 p.m. September 28 at the Chesapeake Harbour Subdivision Park, Skipjack Drive, Wicomico Church. Club members encourage the public to come out and learn more….
