Lancaster capped a three-win week in varsity volleyball with a sweep of Colonial Beach on October 24 to finish the regular season with a 12-8 overall record and 6-4 Northern Neck District mark.

The Lady Devils, with a third place district finish, advanced to Monday’s semifinals when they lost to second place Rappahannock, 3-0. Northumberland defeated Westmoreland in four sets, 3-1, to bring up a Raider-Indian district final, which was scheduled for October 30.
A win or loss in the district tourney did not change Lancaster’s Region A standings. The Devils are the sixth ranked team and will travel to third place Chincoteague on Monday, November 4. The regional semifinals will be Wednesday, November 6, at the higher seeds and the championship will be November 12 at the high seed.
