Five churches invite the community to an interfaith Thanksgiving Eve service

St. Mary’s White Chapel Episcopal Church, 5940 White Chapel Road, Lancaster, will host an interfaith service Wednesday, November 27, at 4 p.m. Five upper Lancaster churches invite the community to come together to praise and celebrate with gratitude on Thanksgiving Eve.

Rev. John Seltzer of Corrottoman Baptist Church, Rev. Carolyn Fisher of Queen Esther Baptist Church, Rev. Fred O’Kello of Bethel/Emmanuel United Methodist Church and Rev. Tammy Scott of Hartswell Baptist Church will join retired Rev. Lucy Hottle, a congregant of St. Mary’s White Chapel for the service, reported Aleta Embrey.

The Queen Esther Baptist Church Choir and vocalist Sharon Mann will provide special music, said Embrey.

The community is invited to bring canned food items for the Upper Lancaster Food Pantry. Checks and cash donations for the food pantry are also welcome, she said.
