The Lady Devils improved to 5-2 overall in varsity basketball this week after a 33-28 win over Mathews.

Following a slow start and a three-point halftime deficit, Lancaster outscored the visiting Blue Devils, 23-13, in the second half in their first game after three weeks off due to the holiday break and weather-related postponements.

LHS is on a four-game winning streak heading into Northern Neck District play this week. The Lady Devils were scheduled to open district play against Rappahannock Tuesday and will host Essex tonight, January 16.
