The beginning of February marks the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Celtic traditions celebrate two festivals at this time, reported team leader Laura Rowe
The first is Imbolc, the celebration of St. Brigid, the patroness of Ireland. As the days continue to gain more light, and the ground becomes ready for planting, the ewes have become pregnant, and lambing will begin soon.
