LANCASTER—Lancaster school superintendent Jessica Davis on Monday, February 10, shared a 2025-26 fiscal year budget draft to continue funding for additional staff and expanded programs that she said have proved successful, as well as provide raises for all division staff.
Among the “impactful” positions implemented last year and included in the proposed budget are the behavioral coaching positions, a dedicated science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) teacher, school security officers and the director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Workforce readiness. “I’m thankful to the board for putting students first,” she said.
The budgets were developed with proposed raises of 3% or 5% for all staff, with teachers receiving an equivalent 1.5% or 3.5% plus a 1.5% step. With the pay raises, the current starting teacher salary would be raised to $51,594 or $52,611 respectively. In addition to the pay raises, the division is planning….
