ORANGE PARK, FL—Blanchette L. Jones, 90, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025.
She was born December 5, 1934, in Hagondange, France, and immigrated to America in 1951. She lived in Washington, D.C., and College Park, Md., for a short time and then in Northern Virginia for 35 years.
She and her husband, James “(Jim)” C.W. Jones, were happiest during their retirement years in the Northern Neck. They built their home on the water and loved gardening, boating and entertaining. They were very involved members of St. Mary’s White Chapel Church in Lancaster.
Jim passed in 2011.
Blanchette is survived by her children Anita (Jim) Zadora, Alan (Beth) Pinto and Michelle Plummer; grandchildren, Daniel, Molly and Brandon; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Alfred Decker, Rose Marie Edwards and Charline Delort.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life.
Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home of Jackson Beach, Fla., handled the arrangements.
