Bob Street by all accounts is an interesting and accomplished man. He is an engineer, teacher, Air Force veteran, a designer, builder and developer. A man of great energy and drive. But behind that success is a person who has had to overcome some interesting challenges.
His collegiate studies began at Virginia Tech in the early 1960s in mechanical engineering. While he did well in the engineering part of his studies, he struggled with courses in liberal arts such as English. His nemesis in English was sentence structure and spelling.
He left school after failing the same sophomore English course three times…
