As Christians worldwide celebrate Holy Week, several area churches plan special Easter services for Sunday, April 20.
Easter sunrise services will be held by:
• Afton/Fairfields Methodist, Prayer Park, Afton Methodist, 5130 Hack’s Neck Road, Ophelia, 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast at Fairfields Methodist.
• Campbell Memorial Presbyterian, Dameron Point, Weems, 6:15 a.m.
• Corrottoman Baptist, 1125 Level Green Road, shuttle from church 6:30 a.m., service 7 a.m.
• Historic White Marsh, 11040 Mary Ball Road, Brookvale, 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast.
• Kilmarnock UMC, Camp Kekoka, 1083 Boys Camp Road, Kilmarnock, 6:30 a.m.
• Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 269 James Wharf Road, White Stone, 6 a.m.
