Lancaster adopts school budget, sets $50.5 million county budget for hearing

LANCASTER—Following a Thursday, April 10, budget work session, Lancaster supervisors adopted and appropriated a $20.9 million school budget with level local funding of $14.2 million. The board will continue work on a proposed $50.5 million county budget, readying it for an April 24 public hearing.

School budget

The $20,969,588 school budget is 2.61% higher than the current budget due to an increase in state funding. Local funding remains at $14,236,492. The budget provides a 3% raise for all staff, excluding directors and administrators, and a 1.5% raise for teachers with a 1.5% step.
