Northumberland Public Library (NPL), 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, recently announced several special events for June.
The summer reading program is in full swing, said library director Jane Blue. Students may earn a ticket to the NPL Reading Fair and other prizes, she said. Register for the reading program at nplibraryva.org.
Related special events will include Storybook Tales: Pinocchio and Robin Hood by the Brightstar Theater at 10 a.m. June 6 at the Northumberland Family YMCA, 6348 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.
An outdoor Color Fight is planned at 1:30 p.m. June 12 in the NPL Park. Students are reminded to wear clothes they don’t mind getting colored…..
