The Heathsville Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern (RHHT), 73 Monument Place, Heathsville.
As part of the market, the Northumberland County Economic Development Commission (EDC) will host its first Business and Heritage Expo.
“The Expo’s goal is to showcase the breadth of history and future opportunities available to those currently living and working in the county or those seeking new adventures and looking to move here,” said EDC executive director Robert Bullard. “Although this first expo will be small to start, it foreshadows bigger things to come for the county.”
Shoppers will find fresh produce, meat, eggs, flowers, nursery plants, baked goods, gourmet peanuts, honey, lavender-filled products and handcrafts. Over 60 vendors have signed up for the June market, reported reported RHHT director Corinne Becker.
