
WHITE STONE—Bobie Lee Edwards, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at his home in White Stone, surrounded by his family. He was the widow of Judy Lane Crockett Edwards.
Bobie Lee was the superintendent of service at The Tides Inn for 36 years, and assistant produce manager at Tri-Star Supermarket for 18 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Kilmarnock–Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Bobie Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Norvel and Ruth Lee Edwards; his sister, Betty E. Martin; and his brother, Roy Edwards.
He is survived by three daughters, Denise E. Robertson (Jimmy) of Irvington, Bella M. Edwards of Weems and Hope E. George (James) of White Stone; grandchildren, Jonathan James George (Maggie), Bobby Lee George (Megan), Joshua Ryan George and James Monroe Robertson IV (Allie); and great-grandchildren, Kamryn Ora George and James Monroe Robertson V, Atlas Grove George and McKenzie Marie Hughes.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery. A reception followed the services at Irvington Baptist Church in Irvington.
