The Island Church, 4370 Windmill Point Road, Foxwells, on June 22 conducted its first women’s service.
Rev. Sandy McElfresh of White Stone Methodist Church delivered the sermon. The service provided an opportunity for many of the church women, including those who also serve as church trustees, to provide leadership and deliver heartfelt prayers.
“I would like to congratulate all of the women who participated in this service,” said trustee Lena Dixon. “We look forward to doing this on an annual basis.”
