Lancaster County Little League will represent Virginia this week in the Southeast Regional Senior Softball Tournament in Tennessee.
The Lancaster Senior Softball team earned the right to represent the Commonwealth after going 5-1 to win the 2025 Virginia Senior League state championship June 30, marking the first time a Lancaster senior softball team has won a state tournament.
“Three years ago when I first started coaching these girls, I said the future was really bright for Lancaster softball,” said coach Bruce Northern, who along with assistant coach Le’Aria Kelley have led the members of this team to three straight District 15 championships. The team finished as the state runner-up in 2023 and 2024.
Lancaster went 3-0, beating Caroline and Spotsylvania to win the District 15 all-star tournament June 19 and then defeated Chesterfield, 12-7, June 30, to win the state….
