CLARAVILLE—As the Northumberland County School Board works to clean up financial concerns from previous years and moves forward into the 2025-26 fiscal cycle more organized and within budget, the need to fulfill existing purchase orders has become a priority.
During a Monday, August 11, school board meeting, consultant Jack Reagan with UHY Advisors Mid-Atlantic requested authorization to seek funds from the board of supervisors in order to timely complete purchase orders.
According to Reagan, the 2025-26 school budget is being apportioned in quarterly allotments. The normal business operations of the school district, however, do not reflect a pattern in which costs are incurred evenly throughout….
