Kilmarnock Museum honors history-making softball team

The Kilmarnock Museum sponsored a night of celebration August 21 to honor the Lancaster County Little League (LCLL) Senior Softball team.

The team made history in July as the first LCLL team to win a Virginia Senior League championship and go on to represent the Commonwealth in the 2025 Southeast Regional Senior Softball Tournament. Lancaster went 5-1 to win the Virginia tournament after going unbeaten to win the District 15 senior all-star tournament.

“Because this was the first team locally [from Lancaster] to win a state championship,” the museum sponsored a pizza party and celebration at….
